Random name picker
Paste one name per line and choose how many to draw. The list is shuffled in your browser and the names off the top are the result.

How to use
- 1.Paste the names, one per line. The count under the box confirms how many were read.
- 2.Set how many to draw: one winner, or several at once.
- 3.Press draw. The names come out in the order they were drawn, so the first is first.
Drawn in order, without repeats
Asking for three names shuffles the whole list and takes the top three, which means the same name cannot appear twice and the order carries meaning: first out is first place. That is the behaviour you want for ranked prizes. It also means a second press is an entirely new draw rather than a continuation of the first.
Check the count before you draw
The number under the box is the only guard against a paste that went wrong: a name split across two lines, a blank line swallowed, a list that stopped halfway because the clipboard was truncated. A short list draws perfectly happily and the result looks right, which is exactly why the count is worth a glance whenever the names came from somewhere else.
Names from an Instagram post
If the list came from comments on a post, the copying is the weak part: Instagram pages comments in as you scroll and hides some behind filters, so hand-copied lists tend to be missing the most recent entries. Reading the post directly avoids that, applies one entry per account, and leaves behind a verification page that the people who entered can open themselves.

Frequently asked questions
Can the same name be drawn twice?
No. One draw shuffles the list and takes names off the top, so each name appears at most once in the result.
How many names can I paste?
Thousands work without trouble, because the shuffle is fast and happens in your browser. Very long lists are more likely to be cut short by the copy than by this page.
Does the order of the result mean anything?
Yes, it is the order they were drawn. For ranked prizes, read it from the top down.
Is the list uploaded anywhere?
No. It stays in the browser tab and is never sent to a server, which is also why nothing about the draw can be recovered afterwards.
Running a giveaway on an Instagram post?
The comment picker reads the post, counts the entries and produces a public verification page with a code anyone can open — things a list pasted by hand cannot prove. Free up to 100 comments.
